Guest Lecture on Choice Based Credit System- Its Implementation
A Guest Lecture was organized on “Choice Based Credit System- Its Implementation” on 3rd March, 2017 from 11am- 12.30 pm. The event was coordinated by Faculty of Education. The speaker of the day was Prof Mohd Mian (Professor of Education), Former Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, Central University of Orissa, Koraput & English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
The Programme started with the formal welcome of our Guest Speaker by presenting him a sapling by Prof T D Dogra. Prof Mohammad Miyan was introduced by Prof Indira Dhull, Dean, Faculty of Education. Prof Miyan started his lecture by highlighting the defects in present education system and then discussed the UGC guidelines for Choice Based Credit System. He shared few importance key words and explained their meaning with the help of relevant examples. He shared his own experiences to make the concept clear. He further emphasized the importance of CBCS by saying that this system has already been implemented in many countries and also in some of the Universities of our country. He also deliberated on the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average. Further during the interaction, Prof Miyan answered queries of the audience. Concluding remarks for the event were given by Prof H S Grover.Overall it was a great experience for one and all.
