The objective of the programme:
- To provide an opportunity to view and promote handicrafts, handlooms with the aid of craftsmen invited from all over the country.
- To identify languishing and lesser-known crafts and to introduce them to patrons.
- To observe crafts and loom techniques, cultural events, organized and demonstrated in the Mela grounds.
Brief Report of the programme: Faculty of Education organized a visit to Surajkund International Craft Mela, Surajkund, Faridabad on 12th February 2018 to orient B.Ed. Trainees to the rural crafts traditions including handicrafts and handlooms displayed from all over the country for the understanding of our rich cultural heritage.
A wonderful opportunity and an amazing day for the Pupil Teachers to learn about their vibrant culture and feel dignity for labour followed by respect for the age-old craft, music and dance, colourful ambience, ethnic cuisines, and cultural diversity as narrated by B.Ed Trainees.
