International Disability Day.” With Collaboration Khushboo Welfare Society”

On Friday, 3rd December 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Special Education and Faculty of Nursing of Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University Celebrated “International Disability Day.” With Collaboration Khushboo Welfare Society” The Programme was coordinated by Ms. Poonam Talwar, Asst. Professor and Mr. Praveen Kumar Jat, Asst. Professor Faculty of Special Education, SGT University.

Every year on 3rd December “International Disability Day” is celebrated by professionals in order to sensitize people regarding disabilities and children with special needs issues to eradicate awareness regarding International Disability Day. In this regard, the Department of Special Education organised a cultural programme and the Department of Nursing organised an assessment Camp for Khushboo CWSN Students. The Faculty of Education and Faculty of Nursing organized the programme in collaboration with the Khushboo welfare society, In this ceremony Mr Vijay Pal ji (Principal, KWS) and Dr Madhavi Sharma (Head of the Department, Department of Special Education) & Team of Special Education (Faculties) and Nursing (Faculties). Around 100 students of B.Ed. & D.Ed Special Education (HI/ID) and students of Nursing participated in the assessment and cultural programme.

During the event, Students of special education and students of Nursing presented a Health camp, Parents Counselling Fun-loving activities (like short drama along with children with Special needs, and dance). Dance performed by B.ed Special education trainees with CWSN of Khushboo Welfare Society and celebrate International World disabilities day with Children with special needs Then, Students of Sgt University performed Nukkad Natak to make them aware of the mass present over there. Lastly, gifts and refreshments were distributed by the B.Ed. Special education Trainees. The Programme ended on a positive note. Students, parents and teachers enjoyed the programme thoroughly. Lastly, a closing note and vote of thanks are given by Ms Poonam Talwar, Asst. Prof. Department of Special Education Faculty of Education.
